Labor and education play a crucial role in the development of society and the nation. While labor contributes to cleanliness and social empowerment, education helps future generations become cultured and self-reliant. With this vision, on the third day of the National Service Scheme (NSS) Special Camp at Pandit Hari Sahay PG College, Jaiti Belghat, Gorakhpur, volunteers actively participated in labor donation (Shramdaan).
A cleanliness drive was conducted at the camp premises, including Pandit Hari Sahay Teaching and Training Institute and nearby underprivileged settlements. The primary objective of this initiative was to promote awareness about cleanliness and encourage people to adopt hygienic practices. Following the labor donation, a street play was organized in the slum area to sensitize the public about the significance of cleanliness.
Save Daughter, Educate Daughter: The Power of Education
After the lunch break, an intellectual session was organized on the theme “Save Daughter, Educate Daughter.” The chief guest, Umesh Kumar Dwivedi, Principal of Pandit Hari Sahay Teaching and Training Institute, emphasized that building an ideal society is only possible when gender discrimination is eradicated, ensuring equal opportunities for daughters to thrive.
Addressing the program, the college’s esteemed Principal, Dr. Sarvesh Dubey, stated that daughters are the guiding lights of two families. When provided with the right education and guidance, they can contribute not only to their families but also to society and the nation as a whole. Education fosters positive change in society and lays the foundation for a progressive nation.
The event was also addressed by Program Officers Dr. Umesh Shukla and Dr. Vinod Mishra, among others. The program was successfully coordinated by Avnindra Shukla, Dr. Kamla Kant Mishra, Pranav Shukla, Harishchandra Singh, Iqbal Ahmed Khan, Dr. Sachindra Kumar, Mrityunjay Kumar Tripathi, Dinesh Shukla, Santosh Srivastava, and Santosh Kumar Mishra. The event witnessed active participation from teachers, staff members, and volunteers.
Both labor and education are fundamental to social development. While labor donation fosters a cleaner and healthier society, education paves the way for a brighter and more prosperous future. If every individual understands the importance of cleanliness and education, a stronger and more developed nation can be built.
