The wait is over ——
The long-awaited bus service from the Gorakhpur district, passing through Kamhariya Ghat to Prayagraj, by the Transportation Department is now ready to start.
The Assistant Regional Manager of the Transportation Department, Mr. A K Singh, informed that from August 22nd, a roadways bus will operate from Gorakhpur, passing through Sikriganj, Belghat, Kamariya Ghat, and then on to Prayagraj.
The bus is scheduled to leave Gorakhpur at 10:30 am from the courthouse and is expected to reach Prayagraj at the Civil Lines by 7:30 pm.
This has been possible due to the continuous efforts of Satyavant Pratap Singh from Kamariya Ghat, a former district council member, and a chief activist for people’s welfare and water conservation.
The long-held desire of pilgrims to travel to the holy city of Prayagraj will now be fulfilled.
Traveling to Prayagraj by crossing the Kamhariya Ghat via a solid bridge, which connects four districts, will be easier. This route will shorten the distance by 50 to 55 kilometers. In addition to saving time for the travelers, the fare will also be reduced.
